HATAY'S CHAMPIONS AWARD CEREMONY

The 2011 income and corporate income tax champions and the companies and taxpayers which made the most exportation and investments in the same period were given their plaques by the Hatay Tax Office in a ceremony organized.

Ayhan Tosyalı and Fatih Tosyalı, Tosyalı Holding Board Members, received the awards given in the name of Tosçelik Profil ve Sac Endüstrisi A.Ş.and Tosyalı Demir-Çelik for the employment they provided for our region and their great contributions to the country's economy.

Minister of Justice Sadullah Ergin, AK Party Members of Parliament for Hatay Adem Yeşildal, Orhan Karasayar, Hacı Bayram Türkoğlu and Mehmet Öntürk, CHP Member of Parliament for Hatay Hasan Akgöl, Antakya Mayor Lütfü Savaş, İskenderun Mayor Yusuf Civelek, Mustafa Kemal University Rector Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Salih Güder, Hatay City Gendermarie Regiment Commander Colonel Mustafa Başoğlu, Tosyalı Holding Board of Directors Members Fatih Tosyalı and Ayhan Tosyalı, Organization Managers, Businessmen and numerous guests participated in the awards ceremony organized in Otoman Hotel.

HATAY IS IN A CHANGE AND DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

In the "Hatay's Champions 2011" awards ceremony organized with a wide scale participation Minister of Justice who first took the speakers dais said: "While the world is struggling with many economic and social unrests Turkey is one of the rare countries on the world which can do her investments, grow its economy, and reduce it unemployment rates." Minister Ergin who stated that along with Turkey's developing and changing conditions Hatay was also in a change and development process, emphasized that he felt great happiness and pleasure for her showing a performance over the general performance on Turkey stated that this needed to go on and the investment climate in the country and in the city needed to be maintained. Ergin, underlining that Turkey was an island of peace and stability in its region and in the world, spoke: "While the world is struggling with many economic and social unrests Turkey is one of the rare countries on the world which can do her investments, grow its economy, and reduce it unemployment rates. It is important that in order for this trend to continue economic and social stability is maintained. By standing by the efforts to maintain the stability and by taking the steps to strengthen our social fabric, we should be walking side by side. Businessmen and investors must press their capacities with new projects while the current investment climate and good developments are continuing and increase their capacities for new employment and production areas. In any difficulty to be encountered in this process everyone will make their best efforts to relieve their work without distinguishing firms, companies, entrepreneurs." Ergin who noted that the lowest unemployment rates in the last 10 years are being experienced spoke: "We have an unemployment which is currently going around 9 percent. We have to pull this even lower and create new business fields and production areas for our increasing population. In order to be able to do that, great tasks fall on to all, with the media, the bureaucracy, the exporter and the businessman."

THE EXPORTER AND EMPLOYMENT PROVIDER MUST BE FACILITATED

Ergin who mentioned that in order for new investments and investors to become active in Hatay the bureaucracy and administrators need to be facilitators rather than causing difficulties added that the exporter Antalya the person who will provide employment needed to be facilitated.

Mehmet Celalettin Lekesiz, Governor of Hatay, on the other hand, indicating that the city which is important in terms of agriculture, commerce and tourist sectors is an attraction center for investors said that Hatay which has a very important capacity in terms of iron&steel production is developing even more with each passing day and that the 11 companies in the city are included among Turkey's first 500 companies.

Harun Dımlu, Director of Hatay Tax Office, also reminding that a tax collection of 2 billion 978 million and 201 thousand was made in the city last year stated that with this collection Hatay is ranking 8th in Turkey. Dumlu who explained that when compared to the previous year the tax collected for the year 2011 had increased by 68 percent said that this was much above Turkey's average. The awards ceremony was started following the speeches.

While Hatay Governor Celalattin Lekesiz presented the award to Fatih Tosyalı, Tosyalı Holding Board Member in the name of Tosçelik Profil ve Sac Endüstrisi A.Ş. which is our source of pride with its investments, employment in our region and its contributions to the economy, our two awards in the name of Tosyalı Iron & Steel were given to Ayhan Tosyalı, Tosyalı Holding Board Member, by AK Party Hatay Parliament Members Mehmet Öntürk and Hacı Bayram Türkoğlu
